Nan Boland, President

With over 17 years of sales and recruiting experience, Nan brings strong people skills, a positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for the industry to HQS! These strong characteristics have played a significant role in Nan's success with both clients and candidates!  Recently, Nan worked over 7 years as a Sr. Search Consultant with a Des Moines employment agency with a focus on accounting, finance, HR, and office admin. 

Prior to recruiting, Nan spent 10 years in the insurance field where she worked as Sales Producer with AmerUs and as an Investment Advisor at Nationwide. She held her licenses in Property & Casualty, Life, Accident and Health Insurance, as well as, Series 6 and Series 63 licenses.  

Nan received her degree from the University of Northern Iowa. Go Panthers!  She enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as volunteering in the community.  Nan's focus is in the areas of accounting, finance, human resources, banking and office administration. 

Mike Vander Woude, Director, IT Solutions

Mike has been recruiting and placing IT professionals in the Des Moines market for 12 years.  Prior to joining the HireQuality Solutions team, Mike was the Director of IT Consulting for a local employment agency and focused on contract, contract to hire and direct hire placement for his clients.  Some areas of specialization include Application Development, Business Analyst and Project Management. 

Originally from northwest Iowa, Mike received his undergraduate degree from Drake University and became Salesman for Amre, Inc. with roles in Management and Training before moving on to the IT recruiting world.  Mike's focus is in the area of Information Technology. 

Dan Gibbs, Director, Sales Solutions

Dan identifies and recruits top performers in sales, sales engineers, professional services, and business development. He has developed a unique methodology of defining Key Performance Indicators to map ramp time, sustainability, and the return on investment to ensure the success of the match of his client and candidate.    

The total value of his network goes beyond that of just  

applications.  Dan has worked in the industry and on the consulting side of business solutions, giving him a 360 degree view of the issues and opportunities facing many businesses today.

Prior to joining HireQuality Solutions, Dan was a nationally recognized recruiter with a nationwide firm of more than 5,000 recruiters for nearly 7 years.  Other past experiences include technology sales, marketing, high-risk investments, and he is a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  

Holly Jordan, Director, Staffing Solutions

Holly joins our team as the Director of Staffing Solutions, specializing in temporary, temp-to-hire and permanent Office Administration opportunities.   

Holly is no stranger to the staffing world, bringing over six years of recruiting experience to our team.  She began her career in the recruiting industry with a large Fortune 500 firm.  Holly's enthusiasm for   

recruiting plays a significant role in her success.  Her top priority for her clients and candidates is understanding their individual needs and bringing them together for that ideal match.
 
A native of Texas, Holly attended the University of Texas San Antonio.  Currently, she resides in Johnston with her husband, Tom, and two children, Nicole and RJ.  She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and cheering on the Texas Longhorns. 

Sarah Towns, Business Manager

Every office has that one person who is THE contact for the office!  Sarah is that person!  She brings over five years of administrative experience in the industry and in doing so, wears many hats in her support of recruiting, sales and office administration.  Her eagerness to make sure our candidates and clients have the best experience possible makes her an invaluable asset to HQS.  

Sarah received her degree from the University of Northern Iowa and enjoys running, reading, spending time with her husband, Brice, daughter, Sophia, & friends as well as cheering on the Panthers & Hawkeyes!
